Owners of the winery believe that Tokaj wines and Béres Drops share the value of both being real Hungarikums, making it a flattering, noble and responsible task to serve them and to build their reputations. The Béres family undertook this when they purchased an estate and started to build a winery in the picturesque Erdőbénye in 2002. It has been their goal from the beginning to create great wines using a modern approach and tools; wines that are worthy of the rank of Tokaj-Hegyalja and the historical vineyards that belong to the estate. Their success is proven by the fact that their wines have won more than 250 awards in Hungary and abroad in the past 15 years and Béres Vineyards and Winery also won the title of The Most Beautiful Wine Estate in Hungary in 2015.

Category-winner wine: Béres Tokaji Lőcse Furmint 2017

This is a vineyard-selected wine fermented and matured in oak barrels from the historic Lőcse Vineyard. It is the number one dry wine of the estate. Its first fragrance is of almond flowers followed by those of pear and grapefruit, and then the delicate aroma of vanilla emerges. Its taste is characteristic of the furmint: it is a focussed, well-balanced wine with a straight and mature acid structure. It has a medium, nice body and long taste, and is in harmony with the taste of minerals from the region. It is excellent with game and Hungarian-style dishes.
